The TV receives TV signal from an analog antenna via the traditional coaxial/concentric cable. So, we are completely in the analog domain here. Now, I want the audio part to be sent to an HT receiver (I realize it'll just be basic stereo). If I use the "optical audio out" from the TV, will it pass this analog antenna audio signal (maybe convert it to digital at that point?) to the receiver? Or will I have have to use the analog 2-RCA cable to send this audio to the receiver?
I'm not anywhere near the TV, so I can't really test it any time soon.
Thanks!
