who has a xl 201 media center?

how many people have a xl 201 media center that is runing ok with no problems??
i would be interested to here from anyone who has had problems or not.
just trying to find out if it is only me who is getting greif from my media center. i have done a search on the web and it seems mce suffers with quite a few problems. . . . john

Thanks fo the replies guys. Think I'd better elaborate though:

My tv is a Sharp 46XD1E and has a native res of 1920x1080.

What happens is this:

When booting up the telly shows that it is 1920x1080 50hz.

Then, once it's booted, it changes to 1920x1080i 60hz

I go to desktop properties. Then the cut down version of the nvidia control panel, only gives me the option of 720p 1080i or 576p (I've hopefully attached a screenshot of the options).

I tried installing the latest proper nvidia drivers. Now, they let me display at 1080p, no problem. But I then lost all sound (I'm guessing the Sony nvidia driver has a sound component too, for going out of the hdmi with the visual signal). So I had to revert back to the original driver.

The 1080i setting that it is on at the moment makes all movement on the screen really flickery.

I bought one just before Christmas to go between Sony Bravia LCD 40W2000 and sony amplifier - really great setup...
However... It tends to freeze up about every three days requiring a reboot to clear. It also seems to lose the program guide every now and then . Doesnt always recover from standby.
Records on standby, no problem.
on a personal note I think it is a bit slow - am really disappointed with the speed of reaction.
The most annoying thing has happened today though in that the remote has stopped working and I can't find out anything about sorting it. Have restarted the computer and changed the batteries.. it lights up but the box doesn't seem to be receiving the signals.
Have just ploughed through all the support and troubleshooting only to find I have to send an email to e-support
Going to go and play with it some more - not sure if it starts up with 1080i and changes to 1080p or the other way round. Being the W it should be full HD

my first contact with the support team was back in dec 8th 06. just had the latest response to my request for help after waiting ages and it's this :-

we would reccomend you apply all the vaio updates then advise you to re-install the tuner????

thats all they seem to advise! i wish they would read my previous notes! so much for the technical department . . . i give up!!!
