VGN-AR61E

Hi,

I bought a Vaio VGN-AR61E laptop from PC world approx 3 years ago.  Just recently the graphics have started not working properly.  When I start up the laptop there are blue squiggly lines while it's loading up.  Once started up, everything on the screen is very big but broken up.  When I go into Device Manager it says that the Nvidia graphics card has been disabled as it's not working correctly.

It looks a bit like this:

I read on a website that as this is a Sony Laptop with an Nvidia Graphics card, then a repair would be free if the laptop is under 4 years old.

Can anyone tell me if this is correct, and if so how I go about getting it repaired?

Thanks

Tom

Unfortunately, your model is not on the list of affected models that qualify for the free repair.

You may wish to talk to Vaio Support on the Out-of-Warranty premium telephone line to confirm this but you will probably need to contact one of Sony's Service Partners for further advice: -
