VGN-A215M Monitor Problems

I have been experiencing problems with my monitor on the VAIO VGN-A215M laptop. The sceen flickers and has multicoloured lines on it making hard to do anything. When I play DVDs the screen blanks out in a green colour giving no video but audio only. I've tried a full system recovery but that has not helped. Help anyone!

If your Vaio is still in warranty I would contact Vaio-Link to arrange for a repair.

Thanks for the suggestion. My VAIO is a year & 10 months old so it's out of warranty. I've been in touch with VAIO support and the last case update I had was to send it in for repairs at a cost. Trying to see if I could save some money as the cost of repairs I was quoted could buy me a new laptop.

Ouch, you could try a local repairer or buy a new vaio..

See I feel this is bad practice by Sony, they're not promoting enviormentally friendly ideas, instead "oh throw it up in the air and buy a new one", not good for those ice caps.
