Hi
When my Vaio wakes up from Standby the display resolution is wrongfully set to 1024x768 and I have to readjust it manually to 1280x800 (native display resolution).
Anybody has the same problem? Any hints or help?
Thank you!
Chris
Hi sintec,
I had this problem with my one of my friends desktop, but was running on XP, i'm not sure its gonna help since your machine's running Vista, but you can give it a try.
Reinstall your Display Adapter from the Device Manager then scan for hardware changes (without restarting your laptop) then let windows install it for you, then restart your laptop when you're asked.
If this didn't solve your problem, you might need to update your Display Adapter Driver.
Hope it works for you.
Chris,
I think this is a known Vista problem and Sony have been looking for a fix. Hopefully it will be released soon.
Try pressing the Zoom key (Usually Fn + F10) - does this put it right quickly?
unfortunately F10 returns with the wrong resoluton (1024 x 768) and I have to reset it to 1280 x 800 manually.
Hi,
Somwhere there was another post about this.
(I can't find it cos there no search.... I know that's yet another post, or several )
Anyway, there was a suggestion to use a beta driver available from Sony about 2 weeks ago and to give feedback - I tried the driver and it's better, but it didn't fix it. Instead of every second or so resume it's more like every fifth or more.
I will try to find the other post, but I thought I would leave the info here as well
I have a VGN-FE41E with Vista
