Vaio Update doesn't update some programmes

I have a new VGN-FE41E running Windows Vista Home Premium. Vaio Update has been able to update most programmes but not SigmaTel Audio Driver 6.10.5379.0 (clicking on the name now opens a blank window; clicking on the installation file under c:\update then goes through the update procedure fine but then it appears in Vaio Update again as if never installed). Also Startup Fix for My Club Vaio is ticked but the name is not clickable so there seems no way to install it. Perhaps that is why My Club Vaio often seems to be slow to load or freezes on startup. Any ideas or fixes most welcome. Thanks.
