PCG-FR215H wont read dvd's burned on the internal Toshiba SDR-6012

Sorry if this question is already in the forums. It is a bit annoying that you can search them since there are so many threads. Anyway, my PCG-FR215H wont read the DVD's Im burning with Drag'n drop CD+DVD (or Nero 6). This started to occur after a full recovery. It perfectly reads and writes CD-Rs, and it reads the DVDRs that i burned before the recovery. What happens is the following. The burning process runs fine, but when it is time for verification the drive tries to start the verification for a couple of minutes, ejects the DVDR and shows an alert with the msg "insert the disc. the disc has to be confirmed" and an error code 011-14-1046. after inserting another alert appears saying in brief that writing was successful, but not reading and that the content has to be confirmed. After trying to open the burned DVD win explorer do'nt recognize the disc as a DVDR but a CDR and it displays no files but no error alerts pops up. When Im looking at the surface of the burned DVDR I can see that there are data burned onto the disc. Im also using exactly the same brand of DVDRs as before this problem occured. I've also tried the burned discs in several other DVD players with the sam result.

It sounds like the same problem. My XP explorer also recognize burnt DVD-Rs as an empty CD-R. I did'nt find a good answer anywhere how to fix this problem after browsing several forums. jeje38's suggestion to revert to a previous firmware version seems promising though. People seems to have this problem with a variety of media and burning software. And now even with another drive a pioneer as well. I am puzzled. Is XP rather than the firmware causing this problem?

All signs point to XP.
Thats my opinion, maybe not fact though.
