So they play fine on everyone else's DVDs?
Maybe the disks cannot be read due to the qualirt of the disk?

The disks are made by Infiniti, I should have added these dvd+r's have played in the past on my Vaio. I have recently installed SP2 and the most recent updates for Dvdshrink and Anydvd.

Have you checked for a firmware update?

Is this a layer on the dvd +r or the original? Is it something that I can do anything about?

As no doubt Nick was trying to point out  there are copyright issues here - even if the original DVD's are bought over the counter :smileyblush:

No it's a software layer which controlls the drive.

As DT says, copying DVD which you DO NOT own the copyright to is illegal and can lead to prosecution.
