Hello All,
I have recently bought a Sony Vaio VGN-AR31S. What i would like to know is: On the download section there are some updates that i'm not sure wether i need to do or not? The bios update is one and the nvidia graphics driver is the other i'm not sure about.
I'm still trying to get used to this windows vista, it can be hard work sometimes especially when it comes to gaming!!!!
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
All the updates are sony tested and so i would suggest that you install them whether you think you need the or not. They will resolve problems you may have not noticed. The bios update is likely to solve an issue with the resolutions changing and the graphics card update will make it run better on vista.
Thanks for the advice, i'll give it a go.

I must note that especially on my previous laptop, when at first I installed all recomended updates, it buggered up my machine until after a few recoveries I just selected updates I knew I needed.
For example, the BIOS update and firmware, only do these if you have problems with the optical drive or the machine needs a BIOS update.
