What software are you using to burn your DVD's?

What is your Vaio model?

Make sure you're burning with the AC Power plugged in and using the full AC power setting.

Do you know what firmware version your drive has?

This information can be found through Nero but i can't for the life of me remember how!

Could it just be the media that I am using?

Could be, is it rated for 8x?

I prefer Memorex, Sony and Verbatim, better quality disks last longer, I got some cheap disks 10 years ago and they have now corroded :slight_frown:

Hi ianmolyneux,

I have found TDK DVD +R discs to be very reliable, I have problems in the past burning to cheaper DVD's

Hopefully you will have more success with the new Sony DVD's..
