Boot from USB Sony VGN-T2XP/S

Is it possible to boot from a USB-flash drive with Sony VAIO VGN-T2XP/S ?

Hi Sanjay,

No, you cannot boot from any USB device on a XP Vaio.

It is possible to boot from a Sony USB Floppy Drive (1.44MB) but because of the limited capacity, this is only really useful for loading SATA or RAID drivers during normal installation.

In theory you should be able to boot from a CD/DVD-ROM drive connected by PCMCIA - but I have not heard of anyone actually doing it.
