Black screen

Hi I have a SVE14AA11M and every few minutes the screen goes black and I have to press the mousepad twice to restore it.  Can anyone help please.

Hi Jeanblack,

Does this happen when working on the computer or when idle?

Have you checked the power setting for whatever profile you are using – Control Panel > Power Options > Change Plan Settings > Turn off the display? These are the instructions for Vista and Win 7 may vary slightly.

Try altering the time delay for turning off the display or set to never.
