Humm, about a week ago, my VAIO started displaying that there is no battery installed. on device manager, it says its working fine, ive tried disabling, reenabling, rebooting, moving the battery around, complete VAIO recovery, and yet the battery still doesnt work. its only about 1.5 years old, and it stopped functioning suddenly, not a slow degredation. i wasnt doing anything out of the ordinary to make it happen.
Im on a VGN-A497XP. Obviously its a hardware thing, do you think its definatley the battery? i dont want to waste £80 if its not definatley the battery thats broken. also, i dont want to waste money on repairs if it is just the battery 😕
any help? shouldnt my battery last longer than this?
