Watching a movie from a usb

I have tried watching a film which i have saved on a usb on my bravia KDL-22BX20D, the only options are for pictures/music, there is no option for movie, i selected both pictures and music but the movie isnt showing up on either, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,

press the Home button on your remote and scroll along (on mine its under music) theres an icon that says usb click on that and it should list the film, however i should add this set here is a 2 year old loaner and i cant get the movies to play (dont know why yet) could be the format the movies are in or it could be the tv is not updated to play these movie files!, i had no problem with the latest LG set i had  (hence the loaner).
