Hi,
I bought a Triniron KD-32DX150U tv second hand on ebay.
The internal freeview digital channel tuner works fine but it will only pick up the minor channels (music, shopping etc). It wont find the main channels (BBC, ITV, C4, E4, DAVE..etc) either in manual or automatic tuning mode. How can this be resolve?
I'd be very greatful for any answers. Thanks.
Hi,
theres usually a very good reason why it was on flea bay!, however its possible theres something amiss with the tuner, have you tried connecting a digital freeview set top box, with that connected via scart will pick up all the channels.
i should add at this point that you check your aerial to be sure you can recieve Digital transmissions with it as you may need to change it.
Hi,
I found the below words posted by another owner in other forum , so it may be help you
......I have a similar TV to yours and have suffered the same problem. Buyng an early iDTV it seems was not a good idea.
According to SONY that because the broadcasting authorities have changed the way the software upgrades are transmitted the older iDTV's do not recognise the signals being transmitted. Not only are the software updates unavailable it is also impossible to retune the TV itself (mine progresses to 40% and then locks up)! I have challenged Sony about this problem who say "It is no fault of ours" but to be fair they did offer to upgrade the operating software manually......
I add this official link from Sony
