i've turn off the face recognition services. how do i turn it back on?

Are you referring to the camera face detection function? Anyway, start up camera, there are 4 icons on the left, tap the 4th one. Hope that is what you are looking for.

i went into settings>applications>running services>then i stopped the face recognition service...how do i turn back the service.

Try restarting your phone, if that does not work, remove battery for awhile, put it back and on again. Good luck.

By the way, do you need to remove the battery to resolve the issue? Just for the record.;)
