My sound bar keeps losing connection with my tv. One minute everything is fine then either the next day or even a few hours later it will loose connection and I have to reset it. This is happening all the time. At times I have to leave it unplugged for a day or more before I can rest it, any help appreciated
Hi Rob,
I'll just see if I can find any help regarding this. In the meantime though, maybe another community member might have some ideas.
Thanks,
Pascale
Hi Robg1664
Perhaps we'll be better equipped to help if we know more about your setup, like what's the connection method between the sound bar and the TV? Is your TV made by Sony?
Thanks,

Hi Rob,
First off, I'd recommend connecting the sound bar with HDMI only as Optical seems redundant in this case.
Secondly, try a factory reset (page 34): https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/res/manuals/4748/2fb27a773da57d8c50eba110d2f33ac3/4748758...
I'd also make sure the TV's up to date: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/lcd-tvs-android-xg80xx_x80xxg_xg81xx-series/kd-49xg8096/d...

Hi Win_88
Did all that, updated tv manually, reset sound bar (which had been unplugged all week) worked for about two minutes and back to same problem!
It’s going back later today
Hi again,
I'm sorry to hear that. For what it's worth, I don't think this is a fault with the design of the Sound bar, so if you can get it replaced by the retailer, you may not find the same problem.
Best wishes,

Hi Win_88
Well that was a result, sound bar exchanged today! Plugged in all working fine, thanks for your help. The first one must have been a Friday afternoon job lol
