SONY DCR-TRV9E recording

Hi All,

I just wanted asome help on finding out how to transfer video from a SONY DCR-TRV9E to my PC, would anyone be able to help.

I'm not sure how this needs to be done at all and whether I need to buy any further cables.

Hi rookie4ever.

Your camcorder has both analogue and digital outputs - you need the iLINK digital output to transfer Video to your PC.

The 3 outputs are on the right hand side of your camera, towards the front and you need the bottom one and a cable like this: -

Don't be confused by the name - these cables can be called Firewire, iLINK, DV - but they are basically the same.

Use Windows MovieMaker, assuming you have a Windows PC to import your Video.
