Sony A290 DSLR - Clicking on shutdown

Camera bought for me - admittedly 'used' however everything in box was sealed. However upon charging battery and using camera I have experienced a rapid clicking upon shutdown.

Is this a common or normal occurence? Want to stick with it cos its a nice camera but not if its faulty.

Hello shiftytigger - welcome to the Sony Forums

This may indicate a physical fault with the shutter mechanism (which may be fixed by safely cleaning dust from within the camera body) or another internal component and I would advise you to contact Sony Customer Services to see if a repair is needed (if it is necessary, they will be able to advise about cost). If the clicking is more of an electrical noise than a mechanical noise, this may be a little trickier to repair.

Thanks,

Simon
