Quick Buttons on A580

I hardly ever use the D-Range quick access button on my A580, and don't use the ISO button very often either.  What I do change frequently is the metering style and the AF area choice.  But I have to go through the Fn button and select the right bit for this.

Is there any way of reprogramming the camera so I can have quick access to either of these?

There aren't any programmable buttons on the a580; you generally have to approach the high-end stuff like the a900 to get that sort of functionality.

Have you tried using Flexible Spot in the AF area settings? Although my camera has a button to change AF area, I prefer the convenience of using the controller to shift the AF 'zone'. It's really easy, right where your thumb falls while focussing and can be changed without taking your eye from the viewfinder.
