Sony KD-49XG7093 - Status top two lines of display when input changes

On the above model the screen shows

HDMI / ARC  Tuner 1 (Manhatton TR-3)

Stereo Dolby Digital Plus 3840x2160p 

 I suspect It is supposed to show this status each time the input channel changes but due to the way the catchup apps work on my Manhatten recorder each advert causes the status to be displayed.  Very annoying/  Any idea how I can disable this feature.
