I notice today that the price of the tablet S has dropped by £50 on sony's own website.
Although I know price drops are inevitable and will encourage more tablets to be sold I am
a bit miffed that it has been dropped so soon after the launch date.
Any chance sony could do the honourable thing and offer some PS store, music or video credit
for those of us slightly miffed loyal buyers.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Any idea what that means for those of us that bought the tablet in the usa on launch date but stay in the uk?
Edit: take that back it works - thanks!
By the way I agree with the comments that it is up to Sony when for commercial reasons they decide to drop the price, I understand why it may not bode well with certain people, but essentially this it the risk you take with buying a new product on launch date...

i have been advised by sony, that the sony promotions on free playstation/music/video downloads will be extended to all sony tablet owners, we will wait and see!
Hi godzilla11,
If you look back to Omar's post (about 6 posts ago - 30 Nov) you will see that the 5 PSOne games are already available for download by all Tablet owners.
The 180 days free music is also already available but Sony are still working on getting the Video available to all.
Thanks Omar!
Kudos to Sony, received my email for 5 free movie rentals, 5 free playstation games and some music downloads. It aint £50 but it goes some way to recognise customer loyalty.

Omar seems like I and few other owners who purchased early (I bought the day after launch!) aren't eligible for all the offers:

Now to be fair I know the music and psone games are avail now so that's a plus. I'd just like to be eligible for the movies but as others state if you try and register it says we're not eligible because we bought too early!
If there is a way we too could receive the offer that would be great.
Regards
Padster
never recieved an email. I dont even think they have my email. why I purchased I think they entered it wrong on the system.

Hey..i'm actually choosing between the iPad 2 (or 3) & the Sony Tablet S.
I'll be mainly surfing the net, watch Youtube videos, facebook, twitter, viewing .pdf or .doc files, odd photos & uploading them, listening to music, playing games, using DLNA to watch movies to my TV on my tablet.
My problem with the iPad 2 are several. namely the inability to send any files via bluetooth, lack of SD/microSD card support, a single mono speaker, a lacklustre front-facing & rear-facing camera amongst others.
My problem with Sony Tablet S are tiny/not-so-loud speakers, lack of Playstation games (even after roughly 4 months of being released and has a PS-certification why not enough games are coming out???) and that's it.
I want to weigh and balance them but...i don't know which to choose?
Both are within my bidget but shall i wait for the iPad 3? shall i invest on the Exynos-powered Galaxy Tabs instead or jump in to the all-entertainment, all-dancing Sony tablet?
I want to buy something before the last week of march so i can bring it with me during my holiday.
please help....
Amazon is also offering 10% discount. Here's the link: http://amzn.to/veCrfD
