Sony srs xb21 speaker not holding charge

Hi,

as title says,my Sony srsxb21 Bluetooth speaker will not hold charge.

its about 4 month old and I have charged multiple times but charge light always goes out after like a minute.

i even bought 2 different chargers to see if it was that but nothing.

i bought Sony as is one of the best brands for speakers so really did not anticipate this.

anyone else have this problem?

many thanks

Hello @Barlow234,

if the charge light goes off, that usually means the battery is topped off (full).

Hi Nic,

The light goes off after like 1 minute maybe 30 seconds sometimes and when you turn it on there is an audio that says how charged it is, ie 50%,20% etc.

i charged for 18 hours over Xmas and when you turn it on it says battery low please charge so about to die.

Hello @Barlow234,

first we need to verify if the software maybe reads your battery status wrong.

Have you tried to reset the speaker?

Here is how that works:

hello,i want to let you know, i found an issue on this speaker, feels like it was my fault, because i had same issue, i charged wrong with fast charger, there is voltage output wrong 2.0 A ,this is to strong for speaker ,speaker needs input 1,5 A , and if its less, its better i think !  because if you charge battery longer then voltage - power in battery keeps longer, now im been listening speaker last night more than 10 hours, its perfect !  can you try, maybe can help to you is well !
