Hello please help me somebody!i have VGN-N31M/W and i instaled xp instead of vista!i with a lot of efforts found everything but drivers for the cd rom i can not!it´s reading cds but don´t burn!please help me and also i need drivers for my touch pad!!!thanks a lot!!!

Hi Avaness,

XP does not support DVD authoring so you will need to install Nero, Roxio or WinDVD to be able to use your drive for burning DVDs.

To get all the other XP Drivers, download the Original Drivers Package for the VAIO VGN-N11S/W which is the same as your Vaio apart from the processor and was sold with XP installed. Download here: -

You may find the Original Utilities Package useful as well!

Right-click on the downloaded drivers file N1_Drivers.ZIP and choose "Extract All" - choose to extract the files to C:\ and it will set up a C:\Drivers Directory.

Navigate to C:\Drivers\Pointing and run Setup.EXE to install the XP touchpad driver.

but i have NERO and Ashampoo!but it doesn´t burning CDs!i will download these drivers and i will try to instal!but i don´t have this direction c:\drivers i have here E:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers if it the same???THANKS a lot for your help!!!

No we are saying if you right click the file you have downloaded and select extract all files then you just need to type E:\

The folder will extract itself to E:\drivers

Strange windows is on an E:\ Drive though?

I don't understand what you have done. Is E:\ your DVD Drive letter? Do you have Windows installed on drive C:\ or have you actually installed it on E:\?

Take the Recovery DVD out of the drive and leave it out. You do not want the drivers on the DVD because they only work properly with Vista.

Go to Start -> My Computer

What drive letters are are shown as Hard Disk Drives?
What Drive letters are shown as Drives with Removable Storage?

no i don't have windows on disk c i have it on e it happend with exedent and now i have it on c:
And how to removable storage?
the problem is that i can not burn cds if u could say me the name of cd rom i could try to find something for it!Thanks a lot for your help!!!u have a realy good service!
