winrar and vista

it installed without any problems and opens .rar files with no problems. But when i do my usual creation of zip files within a folder, ie right clicking and choosing add to zip etc it doesnt work. Tho if i open the winrar app and find the files and zip within it, that works.

Hi dani2xll,

WinRar needs to be run with administrative rights under Vista. Right click the shortcut in Start all programs, right click the application and select Properties. On the compatibility tab make sure that, under Privilege Level, "Run this program as an administrator" is selected.

Also make sure that you have the latest version installed.

What version of WinRAR are you using as according to WinRAR's news WinRAR 3.70 beta 1 is compatible for Windows Vista..
