You'd normally install to your C: drive.

I too have noticed Vista seems to run slow and I've got 2GB ram!
It seems quite unstable to me.

I wish i would of been told this before.... Iv just ordered my ram.
And yours is still slow. I am thinking of reinstalling vista once i received my ram.
I was thinkining of installing my vista on the 😧 Because this drive seems unused most of the time for me. Would this be ok?

Turn Aero off and you'll be seeing better performance:

Yeahs but i dont want to think once iv turned it off that my system cant handle it. Perhaps upgrading the ram could help? Ill have to wait and see.... Also the battery life is rubbish.

Just to update----

Got my 1gb Ram today. Now i have a total of 1.5gb of ram
Max my vaio can handle is 2gb so i will stick to what i have.

Well t seems faster already only used it for 30 mins yet.
Going to re install vista. I dont currently like it.

Hi Waqz,

If your Recovery Partition is still OK, you can go back to the original XP OS with a clean install by tappping F10 when you see the first Vaio logo when booting.

Make sure you have mains power connected and don't interrupt the reinstall - even if it appears to have stopped - leave it until you get a message that the recovery has worked.

Thanks for that. I dont know wether to do it. What i was thinkin was....
Go back to Windows xp.
Then in stall Vista again.
I think by reinstalling it that it will be faster as ive got more ram.
And i was thikning of instaling Vista on 😧 Drive.

Would this work. What do yuo think should I or is there no point?
