Wake on Lan FE-31H

Hi,

Can I use Wake On Lan Configuration for FE-31H ? If Yes can you tell me how can id do that? I try to set it in bios but the biso is very poor !!!

Hi arnaud and welcome to Club Vaio.

1. In Device Manager expand Network Adapters.
2. Right-click on your network LAN card.
3. Click on: Properties.
4. Select the tab: Power management.
5. Set a check mark at: Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby.
6. Click on: OK.

This should be all you need to wake your Vaio from Standby.

The problem you may find is that unwanted sorts of network traffic may wake your Vaio and so you may want to explore Wake on LAN from Hibernate or even from Shutdown. I don't know if your Network Card supports this - probably not in a notebook - but you will have to investigate. If it is supported then for this to work you would need to enable it in the BIOS and download 'WakeOnLanGui' from http://www.depicus.com/

But Wake on Lan from hibernate isn't what I expect. But I search in the bios and didn't find wake on lan features. As you write perhaps it is not possible for my notebook.
