We purchased the laptop (may I note, for nearly £2000 so not cheap!) for our CEO last year. As with all laptops we purchase, we applied our corporate OS (MS Win 7 Enterprise 64-bit) and for many months had no problems. A couple after, an issue started to occur whereby the laptop would completely lock up and the only way out of it was to force a reboot with the power button.
We realised it only happened while the docking station is connected.
Sony eventually advised me that it is a known issue and firmware would be rolled out but there has been no news and they have actually closed my case that was open with them.
Clearly Sony aren't doing anything about this issue. It's been 7 months, hours of phone calls and complaint emails and still nothing. I even saw someone post this issue in Dec 2011 and they were still running the included OS and software.
Anyone got any ideas on another way to fix?
