Vista to XP on VGN-N21E

Hi,
I'm new to this forum as I haven't had my Vaio for long. The unfortunate thing is it can pre-loaded with vista, meaning i have important software I cannot load on i now. Does anyone have information how i can downgrade my VGN-N21E to XP? I have the XP pro cd, but vey little computer knowledge with regards to drivers etc. Sorry i'm a bit of a laptop idiot.

Hi JB and welcome to Club Vaio.

It is not straightforward and there have been some problems doing this with the N21-Series Vaios.

Have a look through THIS RECENT THREAD by costasp - it is for the AR31M Vaio but the process will be similar.

You will need to use the N11S-series XP Drivers and XP Utilities from Sony Vaio-Link Downloads
