Hi, I just reinstalled Windows XP on my laptop and for some reason I cannot anymore access the standy/hibernate options build in in Windows.
I have reinstalled the chipset drivers as well as power management software. I also updated windows and installed service pack 3.
Any ideas what I might try to get things rocking?
Hi -Niko- and welcome to the forum,
For starters make sure that the option is enabled - Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > Power Options > Hibernate tab and check the box “Enable Hibernation” and apply.
Then on the Power Schemes tab and the Advanced tab set your preferences and apply.
If that fails to work then make sure that the correct graphics drivers are installed for your Video card (via Device Manager)
Thanks, installing Video-driver solved the problem
Good to hear that your problem is solved -Niko-
