Hi Everyone,
When I saw my wife's new SZ2 notebook, I said: "WOW, I want one of those!" She was so satisfied that few months later I replaced my old notebook for a SZ4 XWN. Her notebook never gave her any headache, but mine has given me many.
I should have paid attention at the velocity Sony replaces the old models and stops offering replacement parts. My laptop is still under warranty and I can't buy a replacement battery for it. The original just lasts few minutes now and Sony is not offering a replacement unit anymore. They don't have any predition when the the extended battery model (VGP-BPL2C ) will be availabe either.
This is a shame!
I can't use my Vaio away from the mains.
I contacted the e-support and we're still discussing the problem.
Has anyone experienced the same problem?
Cheers

Hi PAF and welcome,
It may be quicker, cheaper and have a far better warranty if you look at a third party battery like these: -

Guaranteed 100% compatible, 1 year warranty
Hey Blencogo ,
Thanks for the tip. Have you bought a Duracell 3rd party battery? If yes, how do you evaluate it? Do you know anything about PowerSmart brand?
Cheers
