Hi all, I have a year old A115B, lovely machine, but whenever I play an audio file, MP3 or similar, it speeds up, and ends up playing almost twice the speed it is meant to??
This problem is the same using SonicStage/Itunes/Windows Media
But,
If another application generates a noise whilst the MP3 is playing, it slows it back down again to regular speed.
To listen to an MP3 now, I have to click Skype so it makes a noise, which slows the track back down again?????
Any ideas?>
Thanks
Hi wiggetta and welcome to the forum.
This sounds like a driver problem, have you installed any third party audio related software recently? If so check to see if there is an option in that programme that relates to preferred audio devices when that application is not active, if available make sure that this is set to the Windows default device. It is also worth checking that Skype also has this setting (Skype > Tools > Options > Sound Devices).
Also check in Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Audio, that the correct device is selected for sound playback – if there is more than one device available experiment.
If none of the above has any effect then try removing the audio device in Device Manager, re-boot and let Windows discover and re-install the drivers for your sound card.
