VGC V2M FireWire Ports Question

Hi guys got a quick question on the V2M there are 2 firewire ports can someone tell me how fast the transfer rate is from them? I'm sure they are the 4pin (correct me i'm wrong). I did try have look at Wikipedia but just ended up confused. Are the $pin's faster over the 6pins?

Hi Jassi,

Almost all PCs these days have a S400 firewire port. (These are variously called i-link/firewire/1394).

This interface has a transfer rate of 400 Mbit/s (actually it is 393.216 Mbit/s) and comes with two different connectors - a 4-pin and 6-pin. All laptops and most desktops come with the small 4-pin connector. These give exactly the same transfer rate - the only difference is that the 6-pin interface carries a power output like USB and the 4-pin does not.
