VAIO will not load Windows VISTA when in battery mode

Hi, I hope you can give me some information, because surely sony e-support is not going to be one speedy replyer o=

1. Installed service pack: Vista Business
Still using service pack: no (was XP professional)
2. Boot language: English ( germa )
3. Detailed problem description: I installed windows vista business edition to my laptop, did a new and clean install, all works fine, BUT when I plug out the AC cable and use the VAIO on batteries.

The VAIO will not boot to VISTA when in battery mode (even when fully charged). A boot to safe-mode is possible.

Another issue: the VAIO turns the display to white once the power cable is removed and the laptop is used mobile. This leaves the VAIO incapable of operating mobile with VISTA and requires the use of a power cable at all times.

4. Checked for upgrades or patches: yes
5. Additional SW: default vista business install
6. Additional HW: nothing new, default product hardware
7. Extra memory added: no
8. Additional remarks: as stated above!

-- Thanks guys, any ideas are appreciated!

Hmm if it's a driver issue and they don't have a new version?
Bit annoying

they say they will have drivers ready by the end of march, so I guess I will have to wait.
If I was a business client, I think I'd have gone mad...

Please don’t take this the wrong way but if you were a business client then you would hopefully have more scene than to upgrade to Vista within weeks of the official release…
