hey guys, was wondering, want to buy a second hand desktop VAIO vgc-ra104, pentium 4, 3,6ghz, because vaio doesnt make any desktops no more, and the price will be round 800euros is this wise or do I have to look for another brand? I am a vaio fan but my vaio desktop need an replacement. Is it wise or do you recommend me another great desktop thats like vaio?
please help thanks
Hi,
the VAIO VGX-XL is a desktop PC. However, I'm sure the RA1 is still a fast mashine.
I think that you could get a better deal than that. Core2Duo processors are getting very cheap and are going to run better than a 3.6.
Where do you live as you are talking in euros?
I believe the RM-Series is to be released in Europe. I don't know the date yet!!
It is already available in the US - just look at the specs - DROOL HERE
It looks so beautiful. I want one!
Is that genuinely a SONY monitor because i want a new monitor but i thought they didn't make them any more. ps. i know its not included before you say!
Looks really good doesn't it!!
Unfortunately Sony don't make PC monitors anymore - I have one of the last really good ones they made - the 19" SDM-HS94P DVI-D.
They do still make Professional Monitors - I think the 24 inch widescreen costs about £2,500 - they are really beautiful

That is the exact same monitor i have and it is FUNKIN' amazing. Best money i ever spent exect for my Vaio obviously.
The computer screen on the Graham Norton show is a Sony, there are some nice desktops, just not in the traditional style, like with the hardware and screen in one, I am considering getting one once I start working.
That's a rip off, the RA104 is worth around £500 now, it's 3 years old and second hand it looses value
