Vaio Update cannot start as Vaio Care is Running

I keep getting the above message?? My PC is running fine but I can not update VAIO care. I have the all in one model VPCJ23M1E and am on Windows 8.

What procedure did you follow for upgrading to Windows 8, was it a clean install or a ‘migration’ retaining all Windows settings, personal files, and applications?

A clean install is not supported as many of the updated Windows 8 drivers and Sony utilities provided on the Support site require the original Windows 7 versions to be in place.

We are attempting to get detailed instructions from Sony for migration from Windows 7 to 8.
