OK,
I got my new FZ21Z through on friday, turned it on, and full of ebay links, 60 day trials and all the other usual useless stuff, my old laptop has given up the ghost, so I decided to put XP and Vista on.
Re-installed everything avaliable under the FZ21Z download section, got all the drivers installed, everyting seems to be working, but have some issues.
Webcam is VERY blurey, it was detecting as a USB Video device, and now its detecting as sony imaging device, but still its not 1.3MP.
The shortcut key, S1, how do you configure what it does? The volume, stop play etc are working.
None of the software updates are working, as they say I dont have anything installed.
When i installed XP, i used a normal copy, same with vista. As I assumed their recovery CDs would just contain all the stuff I wanted to get rid of. I left the 10gb recovery partition on the HDD.
Any advise for me please?
Hi mobymaster,
the simplest answer would be to recover your vaio back to the original Sony Vista OS and Pre-installed applications..
To do this by Restart your Vaio, when you see the Vaio Logo press the F10 key repeatedly.
Once your Vaio is back to factory defaults simply uninstall the application, trials, etc that are not required..
