VAIO FN41E: "UPGRADING!!!" FROM VISTA TO XPSP2

Hi from Portugal
Maybe this can interest to anyone...
I was so pi.. with Vista that I was cursing my decision of buying a beatifull Lap but with poor perfomance. Despite I ask for help in another thread, as I got no answer, I decided to "run" by myself.
So I decided to "upgrading" (yes, upgrading :smileylaugh:) from Vista to XP SP2 Pro.
Here is a list of everything I've done in order to get a beatifull machine with a real working perfomance.
1 - After reading some posts about similar procedures, I decided to download previously to a separate portable USB disk the following itens: realtek_hda_audio_5031(KB888111) driver from Packard Bell; Vaio FE31H Drivers and Utilities; Vaio FE41E Drivers.
2 - I installed XPSP2 Pro; as I didn´t know how to eliminate the recovery partition from Vista, I decided that it worth to live without that space and formatted the remaining C: space, designating it as the instalattion target for XP.
3 - After that I installed realtek_hda_audio_5031 driver and then all the Vaio Fe31H Drivers and Utilities (that had an executable file) previously unzipped to separate folders in the USB disk.
4 - I've openned the Device manager (control panel -> system) and look for possible conflicts (? yellow mark) which I solved installing the adequate remaining Vaio 31 drivers from the USB disk.
5 - In the end everything except the camera was running fine.
6 - After several attempts to solve the problem and I decided to unzip the Vaio 41E drivers to a separate folder; previously I renamed the Vaio 31H drivers folder;
7 - Then from the Vaio 41E drivers I selected the folder Camera -> VGP-VCC4 and run the "install" file.
8 - After that I've tryed the camera and a very big smile arose on my face.
9 - After installing the Anti-virus software, I connected the lap to the network and updated XP, as well as IE and WMP.
10 - I installed the remaining personnal software and lastely I ran a Registry Scan and Fix software.
11 - Now I writting this post :tongue: .

Of course it took me a litle bit more than one can think by reading this post, by if I can help someone not to pass my torture, I'll be very glad.

Enjoy your new beatifull and hardworking machine

Take care :handshake:
