Vaio customer service is appaling
a dead link to register for 'e-support', annoying hold music, nobody answering the phones and a total failure to collect my piece of <profanity removed by moderator> s1xp for the SECOND time to fix its pathetically crap screen.
buy a vaio? I recommend you buy an etch a sketch. at least they work.

However, he has a point and I can understand why he uses that language. I have never experienced worse customer service than Sony Vaio.
The operators when they eventually answer the phone (at 7p a minute!) seem like drones that have automated flow charts allowing them to do their job without thinking. As for the customer service department I have countless number of ignored call back requests. Promises to email that haven't arrived. No case notes left on the case. Right now I am awaiting a phone call from the customer service manager who has been impossible to contact all day and then finally promised to call me before 6pm...It is nearly 7pm and I am still waiting for that call.
I would have thought that a premium brand like Sony would have premium customer support. Not the normal clueless operators and patronising form emails that you would expect from the likes of Dixons group.
Just my two pence....

nah, they should just make it clearer we're not the official sony team so don't come bitching to us..
as has been said, people easy think that theyre talking to sony here when they post on these forums and thats why the complain here as well...

For me its not about bitching but sharing experiences with other users. I for one feel better that I'm not the only one being given the run around by Customer Support.
However Sony really should read these forums and perhaps improve their service.

Interestingly if you feel you are still getting the run around from Vaio Customer support there is a number for Vaio Escalations for their uk office which is
01932 816000 and ask for Vaio Escalations. Just a voice mail so far but at least they gave their name.
