Upgrading video and sound card??

Maybe a stupid problem, but is it possible to upgrade the graphical card and/or soundcard of a notebook.

If you need to know: I got a Vaio PCG-FR315s

And if possible, how much will it cost me..(I won't be able to do it myself) or is my best option to buy a new one if I really want to upgrade?

You want the bad news or the bad news. No and no in a Vaio notebook only the HD and RAM can be replaced. Hopefully Sony will wake up to this for after sales revenues as they are in the pokey.

Not as yet, maybe one day when the daughterboard idea is cheaper and actually works

One day when PCI Express removable graphics become commonplace it will be as easy as inserting a DVD.

Sadly we will have to wait a while, Sony are not the absolute cutting edge of technology lately.
