x-black technology .... flickering technology ?
My vaio a115b was flickering from the first day ....for vaio link support my display was ok , " it's the new technology" they said to me...
Please help me to know the true , if you want to verifiy that your vaio display (x-black) was flickering , please try this :
1) brightness in auto or lowest mode or 10-20% , not on highest
2) open adobe reader and expand the window in full screen
3) look at tge gray background , can you see flickering noises ?
Please , reply to me if you see the noise !!! Thanks !!!
PS: excuse me fo my poor english ...
No flickering on my GRT Onyx black screen.
It's a strong flicker, if it was there you wouldn't miss it. I find it hard to believe it's the technology that's faulty, it's much more likely a production fault.
On my A197VP I diden't notice nothing, is the flicker very stong, or only a little small flicker???
I have tried out what you suggested and I can't see a flickering of the display (VGN-A115M). I have tried it out on several different brightness settings and angles. Due to large inaccuracies which occur in most electronic components, I could imagine that those inaccuracies have added up and caused the fault in your display.
thanks anyway Ben ... now i know .... my vaio was a defective laptop.... i must phone to vaio service for the third time....
bye
