system administrator?

hi, i just got a vgn-nr10e with vista. i have only one user account (administrator type). when i try to open or change the windows sidebar, i get a msg that it's controlled by my System Administrator and refuses to work. What & where is this System Administrator?

any ideas, please?

Hi Froza and welcome to Club Vaio.

Sony have been a bit cheeky and disabled the Windows Sidebar in the Registry. This is presumably to get you to use the Google version.

To put this right: -

Start -> type "regedit" in the search bar and open it.
Navigate to:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Windows\Sidebar"
Right-click on "turnoffsidebar", change 1 to 0.
