Speed of the harddisk
Hi,
Just a quick question, do I decresse (sorry bad spelling from Denmark:)) if I choose to but the harddisk up in 2 partitions is my hdd going to be a bit slower?

Are you asking whether your hard disk performance will decrease if you partition it? In which case the answer would be no. Parition it however you like, it won't affect it's performance at all. :smileygrin:.
Even better, stick XP's swapfile on a separate parition if you can and the system parition at the beginning of the drive (probably the first partition)

Okay, thanks for your help so i'll make a 3rd partition just for the swapfile. . how big should this be ? and where in windows do i change it location of the file ?

Partitions actually increase performance as the head doesn't have to seek all over the disk, it knows where it is going.
