screen problems

Hi, my fs215b has served me quite well for a few months now, but in the lasy few days something has strarted to happen to the screen. When I right click something to bring up the drop down menu, one of the options will stay on the screen, even after I refresh and use the screensaver. This happens with different menues in different parts of the screen and the only way to solve the problem is to restart the laptop and hope it doesn't happen again.

Any words of advice?

Hi mate,

Quite a novel problem you have. It would definitely be a software-based problem as it doesnt happen when the machine is reset (sometimes) you say.
I would try backing up your stuff and using the recovery CD to format and start afresh.

Sorry if this seems like a mission but the problem is quite vague in that it could be caused by any number of corrupted files.

I have no idea what the cause of this is either. I have experienced traces of graphics remaining on the screen in the past and refresh has not removed them; however clicking Shown Desktop, in the quick launch toolbar, did clear the screen.

i used to have a simular problem. when i use the fn keys the volume stayed on the screen.

i have one idea change the windows theme as my dad had that problem and it turned out that his theme was curropt

I'd probably try reinstalling the video card driver from Vaio Link.
