SCREEN PLAYING UP/PLEASE HELP

Hi Can any one help,i have downloaded i think all the latest drivers for my Vaio notebook,because when i switched it on the screen size only fills the monitor 3/3rds,leaving 3ins of black border all around the screen.Have tryed to reset this,but no luck.If you could help,this would be much appreciated.

No there is nothing listed,inrelation to display adapter.As once before i checked,it was listed between Disk drives and DVD/CD-ROM Drives.and now it has disapeared.

No,there is nothing showing for this,as i know it should be listed between Disk drives,and DVD/CD-ROM Drives,and there is nothing showing for this. Have check all and there is no item showing for display adapters,but i do know that it was listed,before the laptop crashed,but not after,i done a partial repair with windows disk.
