Hi there.
Recently I've upgraded from WMC2005 to Vista Home Premium which I've got via Moduslink.
So far I didn't encounter any problem with Vista except one very annoying. I do not know if this is common problem and if this was already disscussed in this forum.
When I close lid of my VAIO FE31M the screen goes off (that's normal ), but when I open the lid I get black screen, it doesn't trun itself back on. The only way I can get it back on is to restart Vista in any way (like put it to sleep and run it again).
Does anybody know how to fix it.
And YES, I've installed BIOS upgrade for my laptop, it obviously doesn't help...
Please HELP...

THX Carelino.
But I'm concerned about one thing. I didn't decide yet that I want to stick with Vista and I've read that people after upgrading BIOS to the one of FE41Z have trouble running Windows Media Center 2005 (I do not know what kind of problems they have). But I deffinitely do not want to close that way out - if you know what I mean... Somehow I do not trust Vista so much, not just yet
Does anybody have information about changing that BIOS to FE41Z and then going back to WMC2005 ... ??? Cos if that is only one time shot I'm not gonna do it...
Maybe I should ask also - is it possible to change BIOS back to the one dedicated for FE31M (version: R0172J3) after ugrading to BIOS from FE41Z ???

No problem you are welcome. When I installed the BIOS update I had a dual boot system (see my thread about a clean install vista CLICK ONE ME ). Everytime I started my laptop it asked me if I wanted to start Windows Media Center 2005 or Vista. I never had any problems in Windows media Center 2005 with the BIOS update FE41Z. Everything worked properly and the same for Vista. Trust me you will not run into any problems. By the way I now removed windows XP from my system and started to use Vista Full time. And yes my advice is to buy 2 gb of ram instead of having 1gb. At the moment it is very cheap to do so.
If the BIOS update FE41Z was causing problems you would hear a lot of people scream about it on this forum.
Good luck
