Hi, I have a problem with my Sony Vaio... I haven't any recovery disc but I saved the recovery files that were in the 3rd partition of my laptop.. Can I create a recovery disc with those files???
Thank you!!
Hi aleferik and welcome to Club Vaio.
How did you save the files? Was it as an exact 'mirror'? These files are held in a special EISA NFTS format and you cannot copy these files in the normal way.
Have you now reformatted the whole of your hard disc? If not you may be able to start the Recovery Process from your hard disc by tapping F10 when you boot and see the first Vaio screen. This will perform a full reset to factory condition.

I used the SO Knoppix.. I enter the partition, then I saved all the files... I found files and directories..
The directories are:
Minint, rcd_cstm, Recycled, Sony, Support, Vaio applications, Valueadd
There are also some files, as Autorun, etfsboot... and so on
