Never noticed a PSU before with a DC out connection for speakers. I have seen them with power ports/pass through ports for monitors, but not speakers.

As for the PSU, you would have to bite the bullet & open the case to see if it's a custom built PSU for your motherboard and/or case as that is the case with some makers.

With the custom PSUs that I have had encounters with so far, they generally connect differently to the motherboard & can't be used with any other motherboard. They also usually have leads going straight to the power buttons at the front of your base unit. A normal PSU generally has a clear plastic connector for the motherboard and is standard throughtout the normal motherboard world. The PSU will look the same as almost any other PSU, but the wiring coming out of it will be in thick cables, to the motherboard &/ or the power buttons. If you've ever seen a normal PSU & its connectors you will be able to spot a custom built one a mile away.

If I can pictures of both I will put a link here for you to see.

Found a fair picture showing the normal ATX connector. Look at the following link & you will see a picture of a normal ATX connector at the bottom of the page.

On most custom built PSU's the ATX connector is different & also connects differently to the motherboard. Some connect to a series of jumper like pins on the board & others are actually permanently fitted to the board.
