problem with dvd-writer

hi, I have a PCG-K315S, bought in december 2004. i have some problems with the dvd-writer(pioneer dvr-k14): if I use "sonic record now" the program says there is an error at the end of the writing procedure. If I use "nero" , after writing succesfully the dvd, the dvd-reader can't read the disc (I also try on other 2 friend's readers...)
The situation is strange because I've never had a problem on writing dvds from december to now(i made a lot of dvds), but on these days i threw in the trash more than 10 dvds..
i didn't do the driver update for the dvd-writer...and i have no virus or spyware ecc..

i need help since i have no ideas about this problem

I would try a lens cleaner such as this or this

another strange thing:
yesterday i tryed to write a rewritable dvd with "sonic" and it did it very well..non i really can't understand what's going on........maybe it's better if i call sony assistance??
