I recently purchased a FZ-21E but considering that I was moving from an old Celeron-powered machine on its last legs to a machine with a Core2Duo processor with 2GHz and 2GB of RAM, I was expecting outstanding performance. I was so disappointed with the performance that I turned off the graphic features to go back to Basic.
Then I realised that the default power plan is "Power Saver". With some of the CPU-intensive music-editing programmes I use, it made a massive difference to switch to the "High Performance" setting. Do people usually run their laptop on Power Saver even when plugged in?
Thanks.
Hi gregismoney,
welcome to Club Vaio..
I normally run the Vaio Optimised power plan on my Vaio.
The power saver plan has the lowest performance and only uses 50% of the processing power when running on either battery or AC power.
